Abu Dharr said, "The Prophet ﷺ went towards al-Baqi' and I began to follow him. He turned and saw me and said, 'Abu Dharr!' I said, 'At your service, Messenger of Allah. May I be your ransom.' He said, 'Those who are rich will be poor on the Day of Rising except those who say, "Such-and-such and such-and-such is for a right (which was performed)."' I said, 'Allah and His Messenger know best.' He said, 'That is how it is' three times. Then we came to Uhud. He said, 'Abu Dharr!' I replied, 'At your service, Messenger of Allah. May I be your ransom.' He said, 'It would not delight me if Uhud were to become gold for the family of Muhammad and then have them spend a night with a dinar - or he said a mithqal.' Then we were at a wadi and he went ahead, so I thought that he felt a call of nature, and so I sat down at the edge of the wadi. He was gone a long time and I feared for him. Then I heard him and it seemed as if he were talking to a man. Then he came out to me my himself. I said, 'Messenger of Allah, who was the man you were talking to?' 'Did you hear him?' he asked. I said, 'Yes.' He said, 'That was Jibril. He came to me and gave me the good news that whoever of my community dies without associating anything with Allah will enter the Garden.' I said, 'Even if he commits adultery or steals?' He said, 'Yes.'"

عَنْ أَبِي ذَرٍّ قَالَ فَانْطَلَقَ النَّبِيُّ ﷺ نَحْوَ الْبَقِيعِ وَانْطَلَقْتُ أَتْلُوهُ فَالْتَفَتَ فَرَآنِي فَقَالَ يَا أَبَا ذَرٍّ فَقُلْتُ لَبَّيْكَ يَا رَسُولَ اللهِ وَسَعْدَيْكَ وَأَنَا فِدَاؤُكَ فَقَالَ إِنَّ الْمُكْثِرِينَ هُمُ الْمُقِلُّونَ يَوْمَ الْقِيَامَةِ إِلاَّ مَنْ قَالَ هَكَذَا وَهَكَذَا فِي حَقٍّ قُلْتُ اللَّهُ وَرَسُولُهُ أَعْلَمُ فَقَالَ هَكَذَا ثَلاَثًا ثُمَّ عَرَضَ لَنَا أُحُدٌ فَقَالَ يَا أَبَا ذَرٍّ فَقُلْتُ لَبَّيْكَ رَسُولَ اللهِ وَسَعْدَيْكَ وَأَنَا فِدَاؤُكَ قَالَ مَا يَسُرُّنِي أَنَّ أُحُدًا لِآلِ مُحَمَّدٍ ذَهَبًا فَيُمْسِي عِنْدَهُمْ دِينَارٌ أَوْ قَالَ مِثْقَالٌ ثُمَّ عَرَضَ لَنَا وَادٍ فَاسْتَنْتَلَ فَظَنَنْتُ أَنَّ لَهُ حَاجَةً فَجَلَسْتُ عَلَى شَفِيرٍ وَأَبْطَأَ عَلَيَّ قَالَ فَخَشِيتُ عَلَيْهِ ثُمَّ سَمِعْتُهُ كَأَنَّهُ يُنَاجِي رَجُلاً ثُمَّ خَرَجَ إِلَيَّ وَحْدَهُ فَقُلْتُ يَا رَسُولَ اللهِ مَنِ الرَّجُلُ الَّذِي كُنْتَ تُنَاجِي؟ فَقَالَ أَوَ سَمِعْتَهُ؟ قُلْتُ نَعَمْ قَالَ فَإِنَّهُ جِبْرِيلُ أَتَانِي فَبَشَّرَنِي أَنَّهُ مَنْ مَاتَ مِنْ أُمَّتِي لاَ يُشْرِكُ بِاللَّهِ شَيْئًا دَخَلَ الْجَنَّةَ قُلْتُ وَإِنْ زَنَى وَإِنْ سَرَقَ؟ قَالَ نَعَمْ

While I was sitting with some people from Quraish, a man with very rough hair, clothes, and appearance came and stood in front of us, greeted us and said, "Inform those who hoard wealth, that a stone will be heated in the Hell-fire and will be put on the nipples of their breasts till it comes out from the bones of their shoulders and then put on the bones of their shoulders till it comes through the nipples of their breasts the stone will be moving and hitting." After saying that, the person retreated and sat by the side of the pillar, I followed him and sat beside him, and I did not know who he was. I said to him, "I think the people disliked what you had said." He said, "These people do not understand anything, although my friend told me." I asked, "Who is your friend?" He said, "The Prophet ﷺ said (to me), 'O Abu Dhar! Do you see the mountain of Uhud?' And on that I (Abu Dhar) started looking towards the sun to judge how much remained of the day as I thought that Messenger of Allah ﷺ wanted to send me to do something for him and I said, 'Yes!' He said, 'I do not love to have gold equal to the mountain of Uhud unless I spend it all (in Allah's cause) except three Dinars (pounds). These people do not understand and collect worldly wealth. No, by Allah, Neither I ask them for worldly benefits nor am I in need of their religious advice till I meet Allah, The Honorable, The Majestic." '

جَلَسْتُ إِلَى مَلإٍ مِنْ قُرَيْشٍ فَجَاءَ رَجُلٌ خَشِنُ الشَّعَرِ وَالثِّيَابِ وَالْهَيْئَةِ حَتَّى قَامَ عَلَيْهِمْ فَسَلَّمَ ثُمَّ قَالَ بَشِّرِ الْكَانِزِينَ بِرَضْفٍ يُحْمَى عَلَيْهِ فِي نَارِ جَهَنَّمَ ثُمَّ يُوضَعُ عَلَى حَلَمَةِ ثَدْىِ أَحَدِهِمْ حَتَّى يَخْرُجَ مِنْ نُغْضِ كَتِفِهِ وَيُوضَعُ عَلَى نُغْضِ كَتِفِهِ حَتَّى يَخْرُجَ مِنْ حَلَمَةِ ثَدْيِهِ يَتَزَلْزَلُ ثُمَّ وَلَّى فَجَلَسَ إِلَى سَارِيَةٍ وَتَبِعْتُهُ وَجَلَسْتُ إِلَيْهِ وَأَنَا لاَ أَدْرِي مَنْ هُوَ فَقُلْتُ لَهُ لاَ أُرَى الْقَوْمَ إِلاَّ قَدْ كَرِهُوا الَّذِي قُلْتَ قَالَ إِنَّهُمْ لاَ يَعْقِلُونَ شَيْئًا قَالَ لِي خَلِيلِي قَالَ قُلْتُ مَنْ خَلِيلُكَ قَالَ النَّبِيُّ ﷺ يَا أَبَا ذَرٍّ أَتُبْصِرُ أُحُدًا قَالَ فَنَظَرْتُ إِلَى الشَّمْسِ مَا بَقِيَ مِنَ النَّهَارِ وَأَنَا أُرَى أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ﷺ يُرْسِلُنِي فِي حَاجَةٍ لَهُ قُلْتُ نَعَمْ قَالَ مَا أُحِبُّ أَنَّ لِي مِثْلَ أُحُدٍ ذَهَبًا أُنْفِقُهُ كُلَّهُ إِلاَّ ثَلاَثَةَ دَنَانِيرَ وَإِنَّ هَؤُلاَءِ لاَ يَعْقِلُونَ إِنَّمَا يَجْمَعُونَ الدُّنْيَا لاَ وَاللَّهِ لاَ أَسْأَلُهُمْ دُنْيَا وَلاَ أَسْتَفْتِيهِمْ عَنْ دِينٍ حَتَّى أَلْقَى اللَّهَ

Once, while I was in the company of the Prophet, he saw the mountain of Uhud and said, "I would not like to have this mountain turned into gold for me unless nothing of it, not even a single Dinar remains of it with me for more than three days (i.e. I will spend all of it in Allah's Cause), except that Dinar which I will keep for repaying debts." Then he said, "Those who are rich in this world would have little reward in the Hereafter except those who spend their money here and there (in Allah's Cause), and they are few in number." Then he ordered me to stay at my place and went not far away. I heard a voice and intended to go to him but I remembered his order, "Stay at your place till I return." On his return I said, "O Messenger of Allah ﷺ! (What was) that noise which I heard?" He said, "Did you hear anything?" I said, "Yes." He said, "Gabriel came and said to me, 'Whoever amongst your followers dies, worshipping none along with Allah, will enter Paradise.' " I said, "Even if he did such-and-such things (i.e. even if he stole or committed illegal sexual intercourse)" He said, "Yes."

كُنْتُ مَعَ النَّبِيِّ ﷺ فَلَمَّا أَبْصَرَ يَعْنِي أُحُدًا قَالَ مَا أُحِبُّ أَنَّهُ يُحَوَّلُ لِي ذَهَبًا يَمْكُثُ عِنْدِي مِنْهُ دِينَارٌ فَوْقَ ثَلاَثٍ إِلاَّ دِينَارًا أُرْصِدُهُ لِدَيْنٍ ثُمَّ قَالَ إِنَّ الأَكْثَرِينَ هُمُ الأَقَلُّونَ إِلاَّ مَنْ قَالَ بِالْمَالِ هَكَذَا وَهَكَذَا وَأَشَارَ أَبُو شِهَابٍ بَيْنَ يَدَيْهِ وَعَنْ يَمِينِهِ وَعَنْ شِمَالِهِ وَقَلِيلٌ مَا هُمْ وَقَالَ مَكَانَكَ وَتَقَدَّمَ غَيْرَ بَعِيدٍ فَسَمِعْتُ صَوْتًا فَأَرَدْتُ أَنْ آتِيَهُ ثُمَّ ذَكَرْتُ قَوْلَهُ مَكَانَكَ حَتَّى آتِيَكَ فَلَمَّا جَاءَ قُلْتُ يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ الَّذِي سَمِعْتُ أَوْ قَالَ الصَّوْتُ الَّذِي سَمِعْتُ قَالَ وَهَلْ سَمِعْتَ قُلْتُ نَعَمْ قَالَ أَتَانِي جِبْرِيلُ عَلَيْهِ السَّلاَمُ فَقَالَ مَنْ مَاتَ مِنْ أُمَّتِكَ لاَ يُشْرِكُ بِاللَّهِ شَيْئًا دَخَلَ الْجَنَّةَ قُلْتُ وَإِنْ فَعَلَ كَذَا وَكَذَا قَالَ نَعَمْ

Once I went out at night and found Messenger of Allah ﷺ walking all alone accompanied by nobody, and I thought that perhaps he disliked that someone should accompany him. So I walked in the shade, away from the moonlight, but the Prophet ﷺ looked behind and saw me and said, "Who is that?" I replied, "Abu Dhar, let Allah get me sacrificed for you!" He said, "O Abu Dhar, come here!" So I accompanied him for a while and then he said, "The rich are in fact the poor (little rewarded) on the Day of Resurrection except him whom Allah gives wealth which he gives (in charity) to his right, left, front and back, and does good deeds with it. I walked with him a little longer. Then he said to me, "Sit down here." So he made me sit in an open space surrounded by rocks, and said to me, "Sit here till I come back to you." He went towards Al-Harra till I could not see him, and he stayed away for a long period, and then I heard him saying, while he was coming, "Even if he had committed theft, and even if he had committed illegal sexual intercourse?" When he came, I could not remain patient and asked him, "O Allah's Prophet! Let Allah get me sacrificed for you! Whom were you speaking to by the side of Al-Harra? I did not hear anybody responding to your talk." He said, "It was Gabriel who appeared to me beside Al-Harra and said, 'Give the good news to your followers that whoever dies without having worshipped anything besides Allah, will enter Paradise.' I said, 'O Gabriel! Even if he had committed theft or committed illegal sexual intercourse?' He said, 'Yes.' I said, 'Even if he has committed theft or committed illegal sexual intercourse?' He said, 'Yes.' I said, 'Even if he has committed theft or committed illegal sexual intercourse?' He said, 'Yes.' "

خَرَجْتُ لَيْلَةً مِنَ اللَّيَالِي فَإِذَا رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ يَمْشِي وَحْدَهُ وَلَيْسَ مَعَهُ إِنْسَانٌ قَالَ فَظَنَنْتُ أَنَّهُ يَكْرَهُ أَنْ يَمْشِيَ مَعَهُ أَحَدٌ قَالَ فَجَعَلْتُ أَمْشِي فِي ظِلِّ الْقَمَرِ فَالْتَفَتَ فَرَآنِي فَقَالَ مَنْ هَذَا قُلْتُ أَبُو ذَرٍّ جَعَلَنِي اللَّهُ فِدَاءَكَ قَالَ يَا أَبَا ذَرٍّ تَعَالَهْ قَالَ فَمَشَيْتُ مَعَهُ سَاعَةً فَقَالَ إِنَّ الْمُكْثِرِينَ هُمُ الْمُقِلُّونَ يَوْمَ الْقِيَامَةِ إِلاَّ مَنْ أَعْطَاهُ اللَّهُ خَيْرًا فَنَفَحَ فِيهِ يَمِينَهُ وَشِمَالَهُ وَبَيْنَ يَدَيْهِ وَوَرَاءَهُ وَعَمِلَ فِيهِ خَيْرًا قَالَ فَمَشَيْتُ مَعَهُ سَاعَةً فَقَالَ لِي اجْلِسْ هَا هُنَا قَالَ فَأَجْلَسَنِي فِي قَاعٍ حَوْلَهُ حِجَارَةٌ فَقَالَ لِي اجْلِسْ هَا هُنَا حَتَّى أَرْجِعَ إِلَيْكَ قَالَ فَانْطَلَقَ فِي الْحَرَّةِ حَتَّى لاَ أَرَاهُ فَلَبِثَ عَنِّي فَأَطَالَ اللُّبْثَ ثُمَّ إِنِّي سَمِعْتُهُ وَهْوَ مُقْبِلٌ وَهْوَ يَقُولُ وَإِنْ سَرَقَ وَإِنْ زَنَى قَالَ فَلَمَّا جَاءَ لَمْ أَصْبِرْ حَتَّى قُلْتُ يَا نَبِيَّ اللَّهِ جَعَلَنِي اللَّهُ فِدَاءَكَ مَنْ تُكَلِّمُ فِي جَانِبِ الْحَرَّةِ مَا سَمِعْتُ أَحَدًا يَرْجِعُ إِلَيْكَ شَيْئًا قَالَ ذَلِكَ جِبْرِيلُ عَلَيْهِ السَّلاَمُ عَرَضَ لِي فِي جَانِبِ الْحَرَّةِ قَالَ بَشِّرْ أُمَّتَكَ أَنَّهُ مَنْ مَاتَ لاَ يُشْرِكُ بِاللَّهِ شَيْئًا دَخَلَ الْجَنَّةَ قُلْتُ يَا جِبْرِيلُ وَإِنْ سَرَقَ وَإِنْ زَنَى قَالَ نَعَمْ قَالَ قُلْتُ وَإِنْ سَرَقَ وَإِنْ زَنَى قَالَ نَعَمْ وَإِنْ شَرِبَ الْخَمْرَ قَالَ النَّضْرُ أَخْبَرَنَا شُعْبَةُ وَحَدَّثَنَا حَبِيبُ بْنُ أَبِي ثَابِتٍ وَالأَعْمَشُ وَعَبْدُ الْعَزِيزِ بْنُ رُفَيْعٍ حَدَّثَنَا زَيْدُ بْنُ وَهْبٍ بِهَذَا قَالَ أَبُو عَبْدِ اللَّهِ حَدِيثُ أَبِي صَالِحٍ عَنْ أَبِي الدَّرْدَاءِ مُرْسَلٌ لاَ يَصِحُّ إِنَّمَا أَرَدْنَا لِلْمَعْرِفَةِ وَالصَّحِيحُ حَدِيثُ أَبِي ذَرٍّ قِيلَ لأَبِي عَبْدِ اللَّهِ حَدِيثُ عَطَاءِ بْنِ يَسَارٍ عَنْ أَبِي الدَّرْدَاءِ قَالَ مُرْسَلٌ أَيْضًا لاَ يَصِحُّ وَالصَّحِيحُ حَدِيثُ أَبِي ذَرٍّ وَقَالَ اضْرِبُوا عَلَى حَدِيثِ أَبِي الدَّرْدَاءِ هَذَا إِذَا مَاتَ قَالَ لاَ إِلَهَ إِلاَّ اللَّهُ عِنْدَ الْمَوْتِ

While I was walking with the Prophet ﷺ in the Harra of Medina, Uhud came in sight. The Prophet ﷺ said, "O Abu Dhar!" I said, "Labbaik, O Messenger of Allah ﷺ!" He said, "I would not like to have gold equal to this mountain of Uhud, unless nothing of it, not even a single Dinar of it remains with me for more than three days, except something which I will keep for repaying debts. I would have spent all of it (distributed it) amongst Allah's Slaves like this, and like this, and like this." The Prophet ﷺ pointed out with his hand towards his right, his left and his back (while illustrating it). He proceeded with his walk and said, "The rich are in fact the poor (little rewarded) on the Day of Resurrection except those who spend their wealth like this, and like this, and like this, to their right, left and back, but such people are few in number." Then he said to me, "Stay at your place and do not leave it till I come back." Then he proceeded in the darkness of the night till he went out of sight, and then I heard a loud voice, and was afraid that something might have happened to the Prophet ﷺ .1 intended to go to him, but I remembered what he had said to me, i.e. 'Don't leave your place till I come back to you,' so I remained at my place till he came back to me. I said, "O Messenger of Allah ﷺ! I heard a voice and I was afraid." So I mentioned the whole story to him. He said, "Did you hear it?" I replied, "Yes." He said, "It was Gabriel who came to me and said, 'Whoever died without joining others in worship with Allah, will enter Paradise.' I asked (Gabriel), 'Even if he had committed theft or committed illegal sexual intercourse? Gabriel said, 'Yes, even if he had committed theft or committed illegal sexual intercourse."

أَبُو ذَرٍّ كُنْتُ أَمْشِي مَعَ النَّبِيِّ ﷺ فِي حَرَّةِ الْمَدِينَةِ فَاسْتَقْبَلَنَا أُحُدٌ فَقَالَ يَا أَبَا ذَرٍّ قُلْتُ لَبَّيْكَ يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ قَالَ مَا يَسُرُّنِي أَنَّ عِنْدِي مِثْلَ أُحُدٍ هَذَا ذَهَبًا تَمْضِي عَلَىَّ ثَالِثَةٌ وَعِنْدِي مِنْهُ دِينَارٌ إِلاَّ شَيْئًا أُرْصِدُهُ لِدَيْنٍ إِلاَّ أَنْ أَقُولَ بِهِ فِي عِبَادِ اللَّهِ هَكَذَا وَهَكَذَا وَهَكَذَا عَنْ يَمِينِهِ وَعَنْ شِمَالِهِ وَمِنْ خَلْفِهِ ثُمَّ مَشَى فَقَالَ إِنَّ الأَكْثَرِينَ هُمُ الأَقَلُّونَ يَوْمَ الْقِيَامَةِ إِلاَّ مَنْ قَالَ هَكَذَا وَهَكَذَا وَهَكَذَا عَنْ يَمِينِهِ وَعَنْ شِمَالِهِ وَمِنْ خَلْفِهِ وَقَلِيلٌ مَا هُمْ ثُمَّ قَالَ لِي مَكَانَكَ لاَ تَبْرَحْ حَتَّى آتِيَكَ ثُمَّ انْطَلَقَ فِي سَوَادِ اللَّيْلِ حَتَّى تَوَارَى فَسَمِعْتُ صَوْتًا قَدِ ارْتَفَعَ فَتَخَوَّفْتُ أَنْ يَكُونَ قَدْ عَرَضَ لِلنَّبِيِّ ﷺ فَأَرَدْتُ أَنْ آتِيَهُ فَذَكَرْتُ قَوْلَهُ لِي لاَ تَبْرَحْ حَتَّى آتِيَكَ فَلَمْ أَبْرَحْ حَتَّى أَتَانِي قُلْتُ يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ لَقَدْ سَمِعْتُ صَوْتًا تَخَوَّفْتُ فَذَكَرْتُ لَهُ فَقَالَ وَهَلْ سَمِعْتَهُ قُلْتُ نَعَمْ قَالَ ذَاكَ جِبْرِيلُ أَتَانِي فَقَالَ مَنْ مَاتَ مِنْ أُمَّتِكَ لاَ يُشْرِكُ بِاللَّهِ شَيْئًا دَخَلَ الْجَنَّةَ قُلْتُ وَإِنْ زَنَى وَإِنْ سَرَقَ قَالَ وَإِنْ زَنَى وَإِنْ سَرَقَ

I walked with the Messenger of Allah ﷺ on the stony ground of Medina in the afternoon and we were looking at Uhud. The Messenger of Allah (way peace by upon him) said: Abu Dharr! I said: Messenger of Allah, I am here at thy beck and call. He said: What I desire is that Uhud be gold with me and three nights should pass and there is left with me any dinar but one coin which I would keep to pay debt. (I love) to spend it among the servants of Allah like this and he pointed in front of him, and on his right side and on his left side. We then proceeded on and he said: Abu Dharr. I said: At thy beck and call, Messenger of Allah. He (the Holy Prophet) said: The rich would be poor on the Day of Resurrection, but he who spent like this and like this and like this, and he pointed as at the first time. We again went on when he said. Abu Dharr, stay where you are till I come back to you. He (the Holy Prophet) then moved on till he disappeared from my sight He (Abu Dharr) said: I heard a sound and I heard a noise. I said (to myself): The Messenger of Allah ﷺ might have met (mishap or an enemy). I wished to follow him but I remembered his command for not departing till he would come back. So I waited for him, and when he came I made a mention of what I heard. He said: it was Gabriel, who came to me and said:" He who dies among your Ummah without associating Anything with Allah would enter Paradise. I said: Even if he committed fornication or theft? He said: Even if he committed fornication or theft.

كُنْتُ أَمْشِي مَعَ النَّبِيِّ ﷺ فِي حَرَّةِ الْمَدِينَةِ عِشَاءً وَنَحْنُ نَنْظُرُ إِلَى أُحُدٍ فَقَالَ لِي رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ يَا أَبَا ذَرٍّ قَالَ قُلْتُ لَبَّيْكَ يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ قَالَ مَا أُحِبُّ أَنَّ أُحُدًا ذَاكَ عِنْدِي ذَهَبٌ أَمْسَى ثَالِثَةً عِنْدِي مِنْهُ دِينَارٌ إِلاَّ دِينَارًا أُرْصِدُهُ لِدَيْنٍ إِلاَّ أَنْ أَقُولَ بِهِ فِي عِبَادِ اللَّهِ هَكَذَا حَثَا بَيْنَ يَدَيْهِ وَهَكَذَا عَنْ يَمِينِهِ وَهَكَذَا عَنْ شِمَالِهِ قَالَ ثُمَّ مَشَيْنَا فَقَالَ يَا أَبَا ذَرٍّ قَالَ قُلْتُ لَبَّيْكَ يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ قَالَ إِنَّ الأَكْثَرِينَ هُمُ الأَقَلُّونَ يَوْمَ الْقِيَامَةِ إِلاَّ مَنْ قَالَ هَكَذَا وَهَكَذَا وَهَكَذَا مِثْلَ مَا صَنَعَ فِي الْمَرَّةِ الأُولَى قَالَ ثُمَّ مَشَيْنَا قَالَ يَا أَبَا ذَرٍّ كَمَا أَنْتَ حَتَّى آتِيَكَ قَالَ فَانْطَلَقَ حَتَّى تَوَارَى عَنِّي قَالَ سَمِعْتُ لَغَطًا وَسَمِعْتُ صَوْتًا قَالَ فَقُلْتُ لَعَلَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ﷺ عُرِضَ لَهُ قَالَ فَهَمَمْتُ أَنْ أَتَّبِعَهُ قَالَ ثُمَّ ذَكَرْتُ قَوْلَهُ لاَ تَبْرَحْ حَتَّى آتِيَكَ قَالَ فَانْتَظَرْتُهُ فَلَمَّا جَاءَ ذَكَرْتُ لَهُ الَّذِي سَمِعْتُ قَالَ فَقَالَ ذَاكَ جِبْرِيلُ أَتَانِي فَقَالَ مَنْ مَاتَ مِنْ أُمَّتِكَ لاَ يُشْرِكُ بِاللَّهِ شَيْئًا دَخَلَ الْجَنَّةَ قَالَ قُلْتُ وَإِنْ زَنَى وَإِنْ سَرَقَ قَالَ وَإِنْ زَنَى وَإِنْ سَرَقَ

I went out one night (and found) the Messenger of Allah ﷺ walking all alone. There was no man with him. I thought that he did not like anyone walking along with him. So I began to walk in the light of the moon. He, however turned his attention to me and saw me and said: Who is this? I said: It is Abu Dharr. Let Allah make me as ransom for you. He said: Abu Dharr, come on. He (Abu Dharr) said: So I walked along with him for some time and he said: The wealthy persons would have little (reward) on the Day of Resurrection, except upon whom Allah conferred goodness (wealth). He dispensed it to his right, left, in front of him and at his back (just as the wind diffuses fragrance) and did good with it (riches). I went along with him for some time when He said: Sit here. And he made me sit at a safe place and there were stones around it, and he said to me: Sit here till I come to you. He went away on the stony ground till I could not see him. He stayed away from me, and he prolonged his stay. Then I heard him as he came back and he was saying: Even if he committed theft and even if he committed fornication. When he came I could not help asking him: Apostle of Allah, let Allah make me ransom for you, whom were you speaking on the stony ground? I heard nobody responding to you. He (the Holy Prophet) said: It was Gabriel who met me by the side of the stony ground and said: Give glad tidings to your Ummah that he who died without associating ought with Allah would go into Paradise. I said: Gabriel, even if he committed theft and fornication? He said: Yes. I said: Even it he committed theft and fornication? He said: Yes, I again said: Even if he committed theft and fornication? He said: Yes, even if he drank wine.

خَرَجْتُ لَيْلَةً مِنَ اللَّيَالِي فَإِذَا رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ يَمْشِي وَحْدَهُ لَيْسَ مَعَهُ إِنْسَانٌ قَالَ فَظَنَنْتُ أَنَّهُ يَكْرَهُ أَنْ يَمْشِيَ مَعَهُ أَحَدٌ قَالَ فَجَعَلْتُ أَمْشِي فِي ظِلِّ الْقَمَرِ فَالْتَفَتَ فَرَآنِي فَقَالَ مَنْ هَذَا فَقُلْتُ أَبُو ذَرٍّ جَعَلَنِي اللَّهُ فِدَاءَكَ قَالَ يَا أَبَا ذَرٍّ تَعَالَهْ قَالَ فَمَشَيْتُ مَعَهُ سَاعَةً فَقَالَ إِنَّ الْمُكْثِرِينَ هُمُ الْمُقِلُّونَ يَوْمَ الْقِيَامَةِ إِلاَّ مَنْ أَعْطَاهُ اللَّهُ خَيْرًا فَنَفَحَ فِيهِ يَمِينَهُ وَشِمَالَهُ وَبَيْنَ يَدَيْهِ وَوَرَاءَهُ وَعَمِلَ فِيهِ خَيْرًا قَالَ فَمَشَيْتُ مَعَهُ سَاعَةً فَقَالَ اجْلِسْ هَا هُنَا قَالَ فَأَجْلَسَنِي فِي قَاعٍ حَوْلَهُ حِجَارَةٌ فَقَالَ لِيَ اجْلِسْ هَا هُنَا حَتَّى أَرْجِعَ إِلَيْكَ قَالَ فَانْطَلَقَ فِي الْحَرَّةِ حَتَّى لاَ أَرَاهُ فَلَبِثَ عَنِّي فَأَطَالَ اللَّبْثَ ثُمَّ إِنِّي سَمِعْتُهُ وَهُوَ مُقْبِلٌ وَهُوَ يَقُولُ وَإِنْ سَرَقَ وَإِنْ زَنَى قَالَ فَلَمَّا جَاءَ لَمْ أَصْبِرْ فَقُلْتُ يَا نَبِيَّ اللَّهِ جَعَلَنِي اللَّهُ فِدَاءَكَ مَنْ تُكَلِّمُ فِي جَانِبِ الْحَرَّةِ مَا سَمِعْتُ أَحَدًا يَرْجِعُ إِلَيْكَ شَيْئًا قَالَ ذَاكَ جِبْرِيلُ عَرَضَ لِي فِي جَانِبِ الْحَرَّةِ فَقَالَ بَشِّرْ أُمَّتَكَ أَنَّهُ مَنْ مَاتَ لاَ يُشْرِكُ بِاللَّهِ شَيْئًا دَخَلَ الْجَنَّةَ فَقُلْتُ يَا جِبْرِيلُ وَإِنْ سَرَقَ وَإِنْ زَنَى قَالَ نَعَمْ قَالَ قُلْتُ وَإِنْ سَرَقَ وَإِنْ زَنَى قَالَ نَعَمْ قَالَ قُلْتُ وَإِنْ سَرَقَ وَإِنْ زَنَى قَالَ نَعَمْ وَإِنْ شَرِبَ الْخَمْرَ

[AI] "I was walking with the Prophet ﷺ in the outskirts of Medina at night, and we were looking at the stars. He said, 'O Abu Dharr!' I said, 'Labbayka Ya Rasulallah.' He said, 'I do not like for someone to have anything with me except for what they need for the night. I have one dinar with me, except for a dinar that I have set aside for debt. I would rather say to it, "This is for the slaves of Allah." He then gestured with his right hand, in front of him, and to his left. We then continued walking. He said, 'O Abu Dharr! The majority of people on the Day of Judgment will be the least among them, except for those who say such and such, gesturing with his right hand, in front of him, and to his left. We continued walking. He said, 'O Abu Dharr! Be as you are until I come to you.' Then he went away from me until he disappeared from my sight. I heard a commotion and a voice, so I said, 'Perhaps the Messenger of Allah ﷺ has encountered something.' I felt the urge to follow him, but then I remembered his words: 'Do not move from here until I come to you.' So I waited for him until he came back. I mentioned what I had heard, and he said, 'That was Jibril who came to me and said, "Whoever dies among your Ummah without associating anything with Allah will enter Paradise."' I said, 'Even if he committed adultery or theft?' He said, 'Even if he committed adultery or theft.'"

كُنْتُ أَمْشِي مَعَ النَّبِيِّ ﷺ فِي حَرَّةِ الْمَدِينَةِ عِشَاءً وَنَحْنُ نَنْظُرُ إِلَى أُحُدٍ فَقَالَ يَا أَبَا ذَرٍّ قُلْتُ لَبَّيْكَ يَا رَسُولَ اللهِ قَالَ مَا أُحِبُّ أَنَّ أُحُدًا ذَاكَ عِنْدِي ذَهَبًا أُمْسِي ثَالِثَةًوَعِنْدِي مِنْهُ دِينَارٌ إِلَّا دِينَارًا أَرْصُدُهُ لِدَيْنٍ إِلَّا أَنْ أَقُولَ بِهِ فِي عِبَادِ اللهِ هَكَذَا وَحَثَا عَنْ يَمِينِهِ وَبَيْنَ يَدَيْهِ وَعَنْ يَسَارِهِ قَالَ ثُمَّ مَشَيْنَا فَقَالَ يَا أَبَا ذَرٍّ إِنَّ الْأَكْثَرِينَ هُمُ الْأَقَلُّونَ يَوْمَ الْقِيَامَةِ إِلَّا مَنْ قَالَ هَكَذَا وَهَكَذَا وَهَكَذَا وَحَثَا عَنْ يَمِينِهِ وَبَيْنَ يَدَيْهِ وَعَنْ يَسَارِهِ قَالَ ثُمَّ مَشَيْنَا فَقَالَ يَا أَبَا ذَرٍّ كَمَا أَنْتَ حَتَّى آتِيَكَ قَالَ فَانْطَلَقَ حَتَّى تَوَارَى عَنِّي قَالَ فَسَمِعْتُ لَغَطًا وَصَوْتًا قَالَ فَقُلْتُ لَعَلَّ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ عَرَضَ لَهُ قَالَ فَهَمَمْتُ أَنْ أَتْبَعَهُ ثُمَّ ذَكَرْتُ قَوْلَهُ لَا تَبْرَحْ حَتَّى آتِيَكَ فَانْتَظَرْتُهُ حَتَّى جَاءَ فَذَكَرْتُ لَهُ الَّذِي سَمِعْتُ فَقَالَ ذَاكَ جِبْرِيلُ أَتَانِي فَقَالَ مَنْ مَاتَ مِنْ أُمَّتِكَ لَا يُشْرِكُ بِاللهِ شَيْئًا دَخَلَ الْجَنَّةَ قَالَ قُلْتُ وَإِنْ زَنَى وَإِنْ سَرَقَ؟ قَالَ وَإِنْ زَنَى وَإِنْ سَرَقَ

[AI] I heard Abu Dharr say while wearing a woolen cloak, "I accompanied the Messenger of Allah ﷺ in the outskirts of Madinah. We met a man and he said, 'O Abu Dharr, it pleases me that no one has a dinar (currency) in his possession in the evening except that he spends it in repayment of a debt.' Then he (the man) walked away and I walked with him. He said, 'O Abu Dharr,' and I replied, 'At your service, O Messenger of Allah.' He said, 'Verily, the majority of the people who are considered the fewest on the Day of Judgment.' Then he said, 'O Abu Dharr, do not leave until I come to you.' Then he went away until he disappeared from sight. I heard a voice and I said, 'Keep going,' but then I remembered your statement, so I waited until he came back. I said, 'O Messenger of Allah, I heard a voice and I intended to catch up with you.' He said, 'That was Jibril who came to me and informed me that whoever from my Ummah dies without associating any partners with Allah will enter Jannah (Paradise).' I said, 'O Messenger of Allah, even if he commits adultery or theft?' He said, 'Even if he commits adultery or theft.'"

لَسَمِعْتُ أَبَا ذَرٍّ بِالرَّبَذَةِ يَقُولُ كُنْتُ أَمْشِي مَعَ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ ﷺ بِحَرَّةِ الْمَدِينَةِ فَاسْتَقْبَلَنَا أُحُدٌ فَقَالَ «يَا أَبَا ذَرٍّ مَا يَسُرُّنِي أَنَّ أُحُدًا لِي ذَهَبًا أُمْسِي وَعِنْدِي مِنْهُ دِينَارٌ إِلَّا أَصْرِفُهُ لِدَيْنٍ» ثُمَّ مَشَى وَمَشَيْتُ مَعَهُ فَقَالَ «يَا أَبَا ذَرٍّ» قُلْتُ لَبَّيْكَ يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ وَسَعْدَيْكَ فَقَالَ «إِنَّ الْأَكْثَرِينَ هُمُ الْأَقَلُّونَ يَوْمَ الْقِيَامَةِ» ثُمَّ قَالَ «يَا أَبَا ذَرٍّ لَا تَبْرَحْ حَتَّى آتِيَكَ» ثُمَّ انْطَلَقَ حَتَّى تَوَارَى فَسَمِعْتُ صَوْتًا فَقُلْتُ أَنْطَلِقُ ثُمَّ ذَكَرْتُ قَوْلَ النَّبِيِّ ﷺ لِي فَلَبِثْتُ حَتَّى جَاءَ فَقُلْتُ يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ إِنِّي سَمِعْتُ صَوْتًا فَأَرَدْتُ أَنْ أُدْرِكَكَ* فَذَكَرْتُ قَوْلَكَ لِي فَقَالَ «ذَلِكَ جِبْرِيلُ أَتَانِي فَأَخْبَرَنِي أَنَّهُ مَنْ مَاتَ مِنْ أُمَّتِي لَا يُشْرِكُ بِاللَّهِ شَيْئًا دَخَلَ الْجَنَّةَ» قُلْتُ يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ وَإِنْ زَنَى وَإِنْ سَرَقَ؟ قَالَ «وَإِنْ زَنَى وَإِنْ سَرَقَ»

[AI] The Prophet ﷺ set off towards Baqi' al-Gharqad, and I followed him. He said, "O Abu Dharr!" I replied, "Here I am, at your service, and I am your sacrifice." He said, "The ones who have much in this world will have little on the Day of Judgment, except the ones who say, 'This is for the sake of Allah and this is for the sake of Allah,' with their right and left hands." He repeated this three times. Then, we came across Uhud, and he said, "O Abu Dharr, it pleases me that even if the family of Muhammad receive gold equivalent to the value of a dinar or less, it should be divided among them." I said, "Allah and His Messenger know best." Then, we came across a valley, and the Prophet ﷺ settled there. I sat on its edge, thinking that he had a need, so I approached him slowly, and my assumption was wrong. I overheard a conversation, and he said, "That is Jibril informing me regarding my Ummah, that whoever among them testifies that there is no god but Allah and that Muhammad is the Messenger of Allah, will enter Paradise." I asked, "O Messenger of Allah, what if he commits adultery and theft?" He replied, "Even if he commits adultery and theft."

انْطَلَقَ النَّبِيُّ ﷺ نَحْوَ بَقِيعِ الْغَرْقَدِ فَانْطَلَقْتُ خَلْفَهُ فَقَالَ «يَا أَبَا ذَرٍّ» فَقُلْتُ لَبَّيْكَ ثُمَّ سَعْدَيْكَ وَأَنَا فِدَاؤُكَ فَقَالَ «الْمُكْثِرُونَ هُمُ الْمُقِلُّونَ يَوْمَ الْقِيَامَةِ إِلَّا مَنْ قَالَ بِالْمَالِ هَكَذَا وَهَكَذَا عَنْ يَمِينِهِ وَعَنْ شِمَالِهِ» قَالَهَا ثَلَاثًا ثُمَّ عَرَضَ لَنَا أُحُدٌ فَقَالَ «يَا أَبَا ذَرٍّ مَا يَسُرُّنِي أَنَّهُ لِآلِ مُحَمَّدٍ ذَهَبًا يُمْسِي مَعَهُمْ دِينَارٌ أَوْ مِثْقَالٌ» فَقُلْتُ اللَّهُ وَرَسُولُهُ أَعْلَمُ ثُمَّ عَرَضَ لَنَا وَادٍ فَاسْتَبْطَنَهُ النَّبِيُّ ﷺ وَنَزَلَ فِيهِ وَجَلَسْتُ عَلَى شَفِيرِهِ فَظَنَنْتُ أَنَّ لَهُ حَاجَةً فَأَبْطَأَ عَلَيَّ وَسَاءَ ظَنِّي فَسَمِعْتُ مُنَاجَاةً فَقَالَ «ذَلِكَ جِبْرِيلُ يُخْبِرُنِي لِأُمَّتِي مَنْ شَهِدَ مِنْهُمْ أَنْ لَا إِلَهَ إِلَّا اللَّهُ وَأَنَّ مُحَمَّدًا رَسُولُ اللَّهِ دَخَلَ الْجَنَّةَ» فَقُلْتُ يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ وَإِنْ زَنَى وَإِنْ سَرَقَ؟ قَالَ «وَإِنْ زَنَى وَإِنْ سَرَقَ»

[AI] I heard Abu Dharr Al-Rabathi say, "I was walking with the Messenger of Allah ﷺ in the outskirts of Madinah in the evening when someone approached us. He said, 'O Abu Dharr, I would not like to have anyone before me tonight, as I have only a single dinar left, which I need to pay off my debts, except that I say certain things about it in the cause of Allah.' He pointed in front of him, behind him, to his right, and to his left, and then he said, 'O Abu Dharr, the majority will be the minority on the Day of Resurrection.' Then he said to me, 'Do not move from here until I come to you.' He left and went into the blackness of the night, and I heard a voice which made me fear that it might be the voice of the Shaytaan imitating the Messenger of Allah ﷺ. I intended to leave, but then I remembered his words, so I sat down and waited until he came. I said to him, 'I wanted to come to you, O Messenger of Allah.' Then I mentioned what he had said to me, and I heard a voice saying, 'That was Jibreel (Gabriel) who came to me and informed me that whoever dies among my ummah without associating anything with Allah will enter Paradise.' I asked, 'Even if he committed adultery and theft?' He said, 'Even if he committed adultery and theft.' Jarir said, 'According to Al-A'mash, he narrated it from Abu Salih, who narrated it from Abu Ad-Darda, who narrated it from the Prophet ﷺ.'"

لَسَمِعْتُ أَبَا ذَرٍّ بِالرَّبَذَةِ يَقُولُ كُنْتُ أَمْشِي مَعَ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ ﷺ بِحَرَّةِ الْمَدِينَةِ مُمْسِيًا فَاسْتَقْبَلَنَا أُحُدٌ فَقَالَ «يَا أَبَا ذَرٍّ مَا أُحِبُّ أَنَّ لِي أُحُدًا ذَهَبًا أُمْسِي ثَالِثَةً وَعِنْدِي مِنْهُ دِينَارٌ إِلَّا دِينَارٌ أَرْصُدُهُ لِدَيْنٍ إِلَّا أَنْ أَقُولَ بِهِ فِي عِبَادِ اللَّهِ هَكَذَا وَهَكَذَا» يَعْنِي مِنْ بَيْنِ يَدَيْهِ وَمِنْ خَلْفِهِ وَعَنْ يَمِينِهِ وَعَنْ شِمَالِهِ ثُمَّ قَالَ «يَا أَبَا ذَرٍّ إِنَّ الْمُكْثِرِينَ هُمُ الْأَقَلُّونَ يَوْمَ الْقِيَامَةِ» ثُمَّ قَالَ لِي «لَا تَبْرَحْ حَتَّى آتِيَكَ» فَانْطَلَقَ ثُمَّ جَاءَ فِي سَوَادِ اللَّيْلِ فَسَمِعْتُ صَوْتًا فَخَشِيتُ أَنْ يَكُونَ ضِرَارَ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ ﷺ فَهَمَمْتُ أَنْ أَنْطَلِقَ ثُمَّ ذَكَرْتُ قَوْلَهُ فَجَلَسْتُ حَتَّى جَاءَ فَقُلْتُ لَهُ إِنِّي أَرَدْتُ أَنْ آتِيَكَ يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ثُمَّ ذَكَرْتُ قَوْلَكَ لِي وَسَمِعْتُ صَوْتًا قَالَ «ذَاكَ جِبْرِيلُ جَاءَنِي فَأَخْبَرَنِي أَنَّ مَنْ مَاتَ مِنْ أُمَّتِي لَا يُشْرِكُ بِاللَّهِ شَيْئًا دَخَلَ الْجَنَّةَ» فَقُلْتُ وَإِنْ زَنَى وَإِنْ سَرَقَ فَقَالَ «وَإِنْ زَنَى وَإِنْ سَرَقَ» قَالَ جَرِيرٌ قَالَ الْأَعْمَشُ عَنْ أَبِي صَالِحٍ عَنْ أَبِي الدَّرْدَاءِ عَنِ النَّبِيِّ ﷺ مِثْلَ ذَلِكَ

قَالَ كُنْتُ أَمْشِي مَعَ النَّبِيِّ ﷺ فِي حَرَّةِ الْمَدِينَةِ وَنَحْنُ نَنْظُرُ إِلَى أُحُدٍ فَقَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ يَا أَبَا ذَرٍّ قُلْتُ لَبَّيْكَ يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ قَالَ مَا أُحِبُّ أَنَّ أَحَدًا عِنْدِي ذَهَبَ أَمْسَى ثَالِثَةٍ وَعِنْدِي مِنْهُ دِينَارٌ إِلَّا دِينَارًا أَرْصُدُهُ لِدَيْنٍ ثُمَّ مَشَى فَقَالَ يَا أَبَا ذَرٍّ قُلْتُ لَبَّيْكَ يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ قَالَ أَلَا إِنَّ الْأَكْثَرِينَ هُمُ الْأَقَلُّونَ يَوْمَ الْقِيَامَةِ إِلَّا مَنْ قَالَ بِالْمَالِ هَكَذَا وَهَكَذَا وَهَكَذَا ثُمَّ مَشَى فَقَالَ يَا أَبَا ذَرٍّ كَمَا أَنْتَ حَتَّى آتِيَكَ فَانْطَلَقَ فَتَوَارَى عَنِّي فَسَمِعْتُ لَغَطًا وَسَمِعْتُ صَوْتًا فَقُلْتُ لَعَلَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ﷺ قَدْ عَرَضَ لَهُ فَهَمَمْتُ أَنْ أَتَّبِعَهُ ثُمَّ ذَكَرْتُ قَوْلَهُ لَا تَبْرَحْ حَتَّى آتِيَكَ فَانْتَظَرْتُهُ حَتَّى جَاءَ فَذَكَرْتُ لَهُ الَّذِي سَمِعْتُ فَقَالَ ذَاكَ جِبْرِيلُ ﷺ أَتَانِي فَقَالَ مَنْ مَاتَ مِنْ أُمَّتِهِ لَا يُشْرِكُ بِاللَّهِ شَيْئًا دَخَلَ الْجَنَّةَ وَإِنْ زَنَى وَإِنْ سَرَقَ وَحَدَّثَنَاهُ يُوسُفُ بْنُ مُوسَى قَالَ نَا جَرِيرٌ عَنِ الْأَعْمَشِ عَنْ زَيْدِ بْنِ وَهْبٍ عَنْ أَبِي ذَرٍّ عَنِ النَّبِيِّ ﷺ بِنَحْوِهِ وَحَدَّثَنَا خَلَّادُ بْنُ أَسْلَمَ قَالَ نَا النَّضْرُ بْنُ شُمَيْلٍ قَالَ نَا شُعْبَةُ عَنْ حَبِيبِ بْنِ أَبِي ثَابِتٍ وَالْأَعْمَشُ وَحَمَّادُ وَعَبْدُ الْعَزِيزِ يَعْنِي ابْنَ رُفَيْعٍ عَنْ زَيْدِ بْنِ وَهْبٍ عَنْ أَبِي ذَرٍّ عَنِ النَّبِيِّ ﷺ بِنَحْو مِنْ حَدِيثِ أَبِي مُعَاوِيَةَ وَهَذَا الْحَدِيثُ رَوَاهُ الْأَعْمَشُ وَحَبِيبُ بْنُ أَبِي ثَابِتٍ وَحَمَّادُ بْنُ أَبِي سُلَيْمَانَ وَعَبْدُ الْعَزِيزِ بْنُ رُفَيْعٍ عَنْ زَيْدِ بْنِ وَهْبٍ عَنْ أَبِي ذَرٍّ عَنِ النَّبِيِّ ﷺ وَرَوَاهُ الْحَسَنُ بْنُ عُبَيْدِ اللَّهِ عَنْ زَيْدِ بْنِ وَهْبٍ عَنْ أَبِي الدَّرْدَاءِ عَنِ النَّبِيِّ ﷺ

The Prophet ﷺ said, "Abu Dharr, I do not want that this trench be made of gold and a night comes upon me possessing only a dinar that I am not free from debt except that I would say to it in the servants of Allah, 'This way and that way,' and he pointed with his hand. Then he said, 'O Abu Dharr, I said, 'Labbayka' (at your service) and 'Saddayk' (I obey and agree with you), O Messenger of Allah.' He said, 'Indeed, the majority of the people are those who have the least (in terms of faith and piety), except for those who say this way and that way and this way.' Then he said to me, 'Stay where you are, O Abu Dharr, until I return to you.' He then left until he was out of my sight, and I heard a sound, so I feared that it might be a danger for the Messenger of Allah ﷺ. I intended to go to him, but then I remembered his statement, 'Do not move from here,' so I said, 'O Messenger of Allah, I heard a sound and I feared that it might be a danger for you.' Then I remembered your statement, so I stayed there.' The Prophet ﷺ said, 'That was Jibril who came to me and informed me that whoever dies from my Ummah without associating anything with Allah will enter Paradise.' I said, 'O Messenger of Allah, even if he commits adultery or theft?' He said, 'Even if he commits adultery or theft.'"

كُنْتُ مَعَ النَّبِيِّ ﷺ أَمْشِي فِي حَرَّةِ الْمَدِينَةِ عِشَاءً فَاسْتَقْبَلْنَا أُحُدًا فَقَالَ يَا أَبَا ذَرٍّ مَا أُحِبُّ أَنَّ أُحُدًا ذَاكَ لِي ذَهَبًا تَأْتِي عَلَيْهِ لَيْلَةٌ وَعِنْدِي مِنْهُ دِينَارٌ إِلَّا دِينَارًا أَرْصُدُهُ لِدَيْنٍ إِلَّا أَنْ أَقُولَ بِهِ فِي عِبَادِ اللهِ هَكَذَا وَهَكَذَا وَأَوْمَأَ بِيَدِهِ ثُمَّ قَالَ يَا أَبَا ذَرٍّ قُلْتُ لَبَّيْكَ وَسَعْدَيْكَ يَا رَسُولَ اللهِ قَالَ أَلَا إِنَّ الْأَكْثَرِينَ هُمُ الْأَقَلُّونَ إِلَّا مَنْ قَالَ هَكَذَا وَهَكَذَا وَهَكَذَا ثُمَّ قَالَ لِي مَكَانَكَ لَا تَبْرَحْ يَا أَبَا ذَرٍّ حَتَّى أَرْجِعَ إِلَيْكَ قَالَ وَانْطَلَقَ حَتَّى غَابَ عَنِّي فَسَمِعْتُ صَوْتًا فَتَخَوَّفْتُ أَنْ يَكُونَ عَرَضَ لِرَسُولِ اللهِ ﷺ فَأَرَدْتُ أَنْ آتِيَهُ ثُمَّ ذَكَرْتُ قَوْلَهُ لَا تَبْرَحْ فَقُلْتُ يَا رَسُولَ اللهِ سَمِعْتُ صَوْتًا خَشِيتُ أَنْ يَكُونَ عَرَضَ لَكَ ذَاكَ ثُمَّ ذَكَرْتُ قَوْلَكَ فَأَقَمْتُ فَقَالَ النَّبِيُّ ﷺ ذَاكَ جِبْرَائِيلُ أَتَانِي فَأَخْبَرَنِي أَنَّهُ مَنْ مَاتَ مِنْ أُمَّتِي لَا يُشْرِكُ بِاللهِ شَيْئًا دَخَلَ الْجَنَّةَ قُلْتُ يَا رَسُولَ اللهِ وَإِنْ زَنَا وَإِنْ سَرَقَ؟ قَالَ وَإِنْ زَنَا وَإِنْ سَرَقَ
