عَنْ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ ﷺ»

‘There is to be no narrating on authority of the Messenger of Allah, may Allah send blessings and peace upon him, except by trustworthy narrators (Thiqāt)’. (Using translation from Muslim i023)

عَنْ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ ﷺ إِلَّا الثِّقَاتُ»

[AI] "Through this narration, from his father."

عَنْ أَبِيهِ بِهَذَا الحديثِ

The tradition mentioned above has also been transmitted by Rukanah bin Yazid from the Prophet ﷺ through a different chain of narrators. (Using translation from Abū Dāʾūd 2207)

عَنِ النَّبِيِّ ﷺ بِهَذَا الْحَدِيثِ

عَنِ النَّبِيِّ ﷺ بِبَعْضِ هَذَا الْحَدِيثِ

عَنْ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ ﷺ بِنَحْوِهِ

This tradition has also been narrated on the authority of ‘A’ishah through a different chain. (Using translation from Abū Dāʾūd 99)

عَنِ النَّبِيِّ ﷺ نَحْوَ هَذَا الْحَدِيثِ

The Messenger of Allah ﷺ as saying: He then mentioned the rest of the tradition to the same effect as mentioned by Sufyan. (Using translation from Abū Dāʾūd 4540)

قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ فَذَكَرَ نَحْوَ الْحَدِيثِ

[AI] He heard the Messenger of Allah ﷺ , so he mentioned something similar.

أَنَّهُ سَمِعَ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ﷺ فَذَكَرَ نَحْوَهُ

عَنِ النَّبِيِّ ﷺ نَحْوَ هَذَا الْحَدِيثِ

عَنْ رَسُولِ اللهِ ﷺ

[AI] We came to the Messenger of Allah ﷺ while we were forty and four hundred, and he mentioned the Hadith.

أَتَيْنَا رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ وَنَحْنُ أَرْبَعُونَ وَأَرْبَعُمِائَةٍ فَذَكَرَ الْحَدِيثَ

[AI] We met the Messenger of Allah ﷺ , and he mentioned the hadith.

أَتَيْنَا رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ فَذَكَرَ الْحَدِيثَ

[AI] We came to the Messenger of Allah ﷺ , and he mentioned the narration.

أَتَيْنَا رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ فَذَكَرَ الْحَدِيثَ

[AI] He went out with the Messenger of Allah ﷺ and mentioned the conversation.

أَنَّهُ خَرَجَ مَعَ رَسُولِ اللهِ ﷺ فَذَكَرَ الْحَدِيثَ

A similar report was narrated from 'Aishah from the Messenger of Allah. (Using translation from Nasāʾī 4929)

عَنْ رَسُولِ اللهِ ﷺ أَلْفَ مَثَلٍ

[AI] We sent the Messenger of Allah ﷺ on a secret mission and he mentioned a story similar to the story of Prophet Yunus.

بَعَثَنَا رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ فِي سَرِيَّةٍ فَذَكَرَ مِثْلَ حَدِيثِ يُونُسَ

This hadith has been narrated on the authority of Zuhri with the same chain of transmitters. (Using translation from Muslim 2556c)

سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ فَذَكَرَ الْحَدِيثَ

[AI] He informed him that he went out with the Messenger of Allah ﷺ and mentioned the narration.

أَنَّهُ أَخْبَرَهُ أَنَّهُ خَرَجَ مَعَ رَسُولِ اللهِ ﷺ فَذَكَرَ الْحَدِيثَ

The Messenger of Allah ﷺ as saying: He then mentioned the rest of the tradition to the same effect as mentioned by Sufyan. (Using translation from Abū Dāʾūd 4540)

قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ فَذَكَرَ مَعْنَاهُ

"I heard Ash-Sha'bi saying: 'I sat with Ibn 'Umar for a year and I did not hear him narrate anything from the Messenger of Allah ﷺ" (Using translation from Ibn Mājah 26)

عَنْ رَسُولِ اللهِ ﷺ شَدِيدٌ

The Messenger of Allah ﷺ as saying: He then mentioned the rest of the tradition to the same effect as mentioned by Sufyan. (Using translation from Abū Dāʾūd 4540)

قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ فَذَكَرَ مَعْنَاهُ

[AI] "That the Messenger of Allah ﷺ was guarded by his companions and mentioned the hadith."

أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ كَانَ يَحْرُسُهُ أَصْحَابُهُ وَذَكَرَ الْحَدِيثَ

I heard the Messenger of Allah ﷺ say. . . He then mentioned the tradition to the same effect. (Using translation from Abū Dāʾūd 4492)

سَأَلْتُ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ فَذَكَرَ مَعْنَاهُ

[AI] About the Prophet ﷺ , he mentioned the narration.

خَطَبَنَا رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ فَذَكَرَ مَعْنَاهُ

[AI] The Messenger of Allah ﷺ narrated to us with two narrations, and he mentioned the narration.

حَدَّثَنَا رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ بِحَدِيثَيْنِ فَذَكَرَ الْحَدِيثَ

[AI] "He heard the Messenger of Allah ﷺ, so he mentioned it."

أَنَّهُ سَمِعَ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ فَذَكَرَهُ

[AI] "He came to the Messenger of Allah ﷺ and mentioned the conversation."

أَنَّهُ جَاءَ إِلَى رَسُولِ اللهِ ﷺ فَذَكَرَ الْحَدِيثَ

I heard the Messenger of Allah ﷺ say. . . He then mentioned the tradition to the same effect. (Using translation from Abū Dāʾūd 4492)

أتَيْتُ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ… فَذَكَرَ مَعْناهُ

By Allah, I am certain that the Messenger of Allah ﷺ forbade that. (Using translation from Aḥmad 101)

أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ نَهَى عَنْ نَبِيذِ الْجَرِّ

[AI] Regarding the prayer of the Messenger of Allah ﷺ , he mentioned something similar to it.

عَنْ صَلَاةِ رَسُولِ اللهِ ﷺ فَذَكَرَ مِثْلَهُ

[AI] "While the Messenger of Allah ﷺ mentioned its meaning with us."

بَيْنَمَا رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ فَذَكَرَ مَعْنَاهُ

[AI] The Messenger of Allah ﷺ prayed for us and mentioned us.

صَلَّى بِنَا رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ فَذَكَرَهُ

The above mentioned tradition has also been transmitted in a similar manner by Ibn 'Abbas from the Messenger of Allah ﷺ. (Using translation from Abū Dāʾūd 1491)

أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ﷺ فَذَكَرَ نَحْوَهُ

Nafi' said: Ibn Umar used to lengthen his prayer before the Friday prayer and would offer two rak'ahs after it in his house. He used to say that the Messenger of Allah ﷺ would do that. (Using translation from Abū Dāʾūd 1128)

أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ﷺ كَانَ يَفْعَلُ ذَلِكَ»

The same as No. 290. from the Prophet. (Using translation from Bukhārī 1199b)

عَنْ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ ﷺ نَحْوَهُ

Abu Huraira reported a hadith like this through another chain of transmitters. (Using translation from Muslim 2653a)

عَنْ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ ﷺ نَحْوَهُصحيح

The same as No. 290. from the Prophet. (Using translation from Bukhārī 1199b)

عَنْ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ ﷺ نَحْوَهُ

[AI] From the Messenger of Allah ﷺ it was said, "Do not make faces" and he mentioned the rest of the hadith.

عَنْ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ ﷺ قَالَ «لَا تُقَبِّحُوا الْوُجُوهَ» وَذَكَرَ بَاقِي الْحَدِيثِ

[AI] From the Prophet of Allah ﷺ , it was said, "Jacob had a foster brother." So he mentioned the hadeeth in a similar manner.

عَنْ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ ﷺ قَالَ «كَانَ لِيَعْقُوبَ أَخٌ مُؤَاخِيًا» فَذَكَرَ الْحَدِيثَ بِنَحْوِهِ

“I asked Jabir bin ‘Abdullah about hyenas: ‘Are they game (that can be hunted)?’ He said: ‘Yes.’ I said: ‘Can I eat them?’ He said: ‘Yes.’ I said: ‘Is this something that you heard from the Messenger of Allah ﷺ?’ He said: ‘Yes.’” (Using translation from Ibn Mājah 3236)

عَنْ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ ﷺ قَالَ «نَعَمْ»

[AI] "We sent the messenger of Allah ﷺ to Al-Hurqat, and he mentioned the tradition."

«بَعَثَنَا رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ إِلَى الْحُرُقَاتِ» فَذَكَرَ الْحَدِيثَ

[AI] "Kannani Rasool Allahi, salla Allah alaihi wa sallam, bi Abi Hamzah."

This translates to:

"The Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, used to call me by the name of Abu Hamzah."

«كَنَّانِي رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ بِأَبِي حَمْزَةَ»
